My Strength, My Portion
25 Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.
Psalm 73:25-26
Worth It All
I don't understand Your ways
Oh but I will give You my song
Give You all of my praise
You hold on to all my pain
With it You are pulling me closer
And pulling me into Your ways
Now around every corner
And up every mountain
I'm not looking for crowns
Or the water from fountains
I'm desperate in seeking, frantic believing
That the sight of Your face
Is all that I need
I will say to You
It's gonna be worth it
It's gonna be worth it
It's gonna be worth it all
I believe this
It's gonna be worth it
It's gonna be worth it
It's gonna be worth it all
I believe this
You're gonna be worth it
You're gonna be worth it
You're gonna be worth it all
I believe this
You're gonna be worth it
You're gonna be worth it
You're gonna be worth it all
I believe this
Who is Jesus?
Who is Jesus? I received an interesting email on this. Many a times, we do wonder how God can be related to the everyday subjects, courses or modules that we are studying.
Here you go, some food for thought:IN CHEMISTRY, HE TURNED WATER TO WINE;
IN BIOLOGY, HE WAS BORN WITHOUT THE NORMAL CONCEPTION;
IN PHYSICS, HE DISPROVED THE LAW OF
GRAVITY WHEN HE ASCENDED INTO HEAVEN;
IN ECONOMICS, HE DISPROVED THE LAW
OF DIMINISHING RETURN BY FEEDING 5000 MEN
WITH TWO FISHES & FIVE LOAVES OF BREAD;
IN MEDICINE, HE CURED THE SICK AND THE
BLIND WITHOUT ADMINISTERING A SINGLE DOSE OF DRUGS;
IN HISTORY, HE IS THE BEGINNING AND THE END;
IN GOVERNMENT, HE SAID THAT HE SHALL BE CALLED WONDERFUL COUNSELOR, PRINCE OF PEACE;
IN RELIGION, HE SAID NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH HIM;
SO ... WHO IS HE?
HE IS JESUS!
The Greatest Man in History ...
Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master.
Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher.
Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer.
He had no army, yet kings feared Him.
He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world.
He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.
He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today.
I feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us!
Information Overload!!!
"Like many people I am on the verge of information overload."
I was just reading Closer to God and I came across this section of the writings.
"Life has always been filled with many voices demanding our attention and trying to influence us – it has just reached a ludicrous excess in our generation. So it has always been a spiritual discipline for Christians to choose which voices we will devote our attention to and which we will ignore."
How true indeed.
In our walk with God, God’s truth must be the voice we listen to the most. All other voices are relative, but when God speaks into our lives
it is absolute. His wisdom is the shepherding word that leads us in his right paths day by day. We need to be ruthless in ignoring other calls upon our lives in order to ensure we hear the call of the one who is our Creator, Father, Saviour and Destiny.
"Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path." Psalm 119:105
Away from the philosophies of this world, but unto Your Word alone.

Give them all to Jesus
Are you tired of chasing pretty rainbows?
Are you tired of spinning round and round?
Wrap up all those shattered dreams of your life
And at the feet of Jesus, lay them down.
Give them all, give them all, give them all to Jesus
Shattered dreams, wounded hearts, and broken toys.
Give them all, give them all, give them all to Jesus
And He will turn your sorrows into joy.
He never said you only see sunshine,
He never said there would be no rain.
He only promised a heart full of singing
About the very thing that once brought pain.
Give them all, give them all, give them all to Jesus
Shattered dreams, wounded hearts, and broken toys.
Give them all, give them all, give them all to Jesus
And He will turn your sorrows into joy.

I am learning how to give it all to Jesus.
Felt paralyzed. Crushed. And tormented by the amount of stress and pressure I face in school for the first 4 weeks of school. The fourth week in particular. Was having a bad strain on my right shoulder and the endless assignments and tests really overwhelmed my soul.
BUT,
God picked me up from where I fell. I surrendered my life. Released the unnecessary pressure that I 'mounted' upon myself. And I found freedom! Freedom in Christ because the JOY of the Lord is my STRENGTH!
Thank you Jesus for week 5 of SMUgger's life. I am a happier person because I gave it all to Jesus and I believe that He will take care of EVERYTHING :)

Life without Jesus...
"Have been dreaming these nights...so scary...Is it true that announcing that I am sad, I am really sad?
These are words of a friend of mine.
As I looked at it, the Lord just dropped this into my heart.

Life without Jesus is like a donut. You may look colourful, spiced and yummie, but you are Empty on the inside.
What is life to you? That leaves us pondering......
